A heatwave added to the already hot Florida feel. Aileene and I headed to our first high school senior session for the class of 2010. We ordered some bottled waters before the session so that we wouldn’t die basically.   :)  Brandie brought a friend along who was hilarious. I encourage seniors to bring a friend to a session.

We had a fun, relaxed session even if it was stinkin’ hot. I do love my Florida! Although, I won’t lie, I would love to be visiting sunny, cooler California! And I would be eating at In-n-Out Burger and spending more… I mean some time outside. :) Yes, I know that I’m so random! Haha.

I love children sessions. They are so full of energy and fun. These two kids were so great to work with. Their grandparents also stepped in front of the camera. Love it!  :)

Yes, they really are as sweet as they look.

I asked them to make a silly face. These are some great silly faces!

We had a jumping contest. He totally won. But sis won the big bubble blowing contest we had that day, too.  :)

Uncle Bob Wannabe
icon1 admin | icon2 Misc | icon4 06 15th, 2009| icon32 Comments »

I’ve heard so many horror stories from other photographers involving…… “Uncle Bob”.  While most guests at weddings are really considerate with the professional photographer, some guests focus more on getting their own shot than what is around them. This person is commonly known as “Uncle Bob”  to many photographers.

Some guests are so much fun and just want some photos for their own memories. They might engage in some fun photography related chat with the photographer and have a blast that day.

But some Uncle Bobs take it too far by getting in the way of the professional photographer and ruining the shot for not only the photographer but the bride and groom.

Aileene and I were shooting a wedding recently that our photographer friend, Scott, also attended as a guest. We cracked up when he started getting in our way (on purpose but not at a key moment). He even grabbed someone’s Nikon and started getting in our shots for a few seconds. The next few shots are from Aileene’s camera. HAHA!

It was hilarious speaking to Amy. She’s super cute and so much fun to be around. Everything she said reminded me of what my sister Denisse said when she was pregnant. The stories cracked me up. I’m so happy to have spent some time with this mommy on her little Orlando vacation.

Surprise

Okay, so I knew it was happening. I mean, Kenny had mentioned that he would be proposing on this day. But this was before my niece’s first birthday was moved to this day. So I was still pretty sure it was happening today, but I did not know when. A few others found out when they got there. Denisse knew days before, but had not told me. Ah! Sisters who can keep secrets from each other! I mean, that’s a good thing I guess. Haha. Just kidding. It’s a good thing.

So Denisse hands the floor over to Kenny to pray over Elle.

What a sweet baby girl! She also is blessed with an amazing mommy. I felt so spoiled with such a relaxed, easy going newborn.
