Maternity Photoshoot Planning
Something that takes much longer than the actual photo shoot is the planning. This is how we get amazing photographs. I don’t just show up to your photoshoot unprepared.
After you book a photoshoot, I’ll ask you some questions about what’s on your wishlist. If you have any ideas that you love, I would love to know so I can make your photo shoot amazing for you.
I plan everything from location, possible props and furniture, poses, and more. It’s a lot of work, but it makes the photo session run so smoothly.
Luxury Studio Photoshoot
Lately, almost all of my maternity photoshoots are in the studio. Not only can the studio be so much more comfortable than outdoors, it can also be styled in such an elegant and timeless way that is perfect for motherhood photography.
For this photo shoot, I wanted to go with two looks. The wicker chair and flowers gave almost a vintage look. It was super sweet with a touch of boho.
Lighting
I love dreamy, natural light. Beautiful light is one of the most important things in creating gorgeous photos in my opinion.
For this photoshoot, I actually used extra lights in addition to natural light. My goal was to make it look super soft and natural, but get more of that bright light. It looked so good with the white, sheer curtains.
There’s something so beautiful about a black and white photo.
Props
Bringing a few props can be a great way to make your session extra special. These baby shoes are adorable.
Bring Different Outfits
I always recommend bringing a few wardrobe options if we’re in the studio. Having different outfits is a great way to get variety in your photos.
