Disney Vacation Photographer

I love photographing families that are visiting the Orlando area on vacation. It’s fun to hear their story and see everyone interact with each other. I try to keep sessions fun and relaxed while keeping things moving. Many of the families I photograph actually have big plans after our family photoshoot….. like going to Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, or a really special meal.

How I Photograph Large Family Groups

For large family photos, I love to photograph different groupings. I start off with some photos of everyone then move on to smaller groups. I normally also take another set of photos with everyone towards the middle or end of our session.

How I Get the Best Photos

When photographing anyone, I believe that making people feel comfortable is the best way to get great photos.

With kids, I try to keep photo sessions going at a pace that they are happy with. This can mean asking them to give me a silly face or letting them get some energy out between photos. If a photo shoot is rigid and feels like a chore, I won’t get the best expressions and images.

Even though it might seem like a long time, I highly recommend a one hour or longer photo shoot for kids, especially if they are having a rough day. Having that extra wiggle room for breaks and warm-up time can be so important and getting the best photos. If we don’t need the full hour because we got everything we needed, that’s great too.

A Mix of Christmas Photos

It was fun to get some Christmas tree decorations in some of the photos. I love the variety of taking photos that will be perfect for Christmas cards and some that are great to have framed in your home year round.

Always a good idea to get photos of sisters together.
