When was the last time you updated your headshot photos? Do you feel confident with your headshot photos or are you hoping no one notices the photo on your marketing? Does your photos even look like you now?
If it’s been a while since you’ve had great headshot photos or if you’ve never really loved your marketing photos, I would love to photograph you. Here’s a look at this photoshoot and some suggestions for your headshot photoshoot.
Headshot Session
The first time I met Wendy was when she came into the photo studio for her photoshoot. She needed a professional headshot for her LinkedIn account. She was looking for something that showed her expertise in her field. I also wanted to make sure her photos were modern, interesting, and flattering. There’s no need for a stuffy, boring work photo when you can have something more scroll stopping.
I really enjoyed meeting and talking to Wendy. I could have chatted for hours. It was so interesting to hear more about her career and what she does. After talking a bit, we moved to the photography studio room for her photoshoot.
What to Wear for Headshot Photos
I absolutely love what Wendy picked out to wear for her headshot session. While she wanted the photos to look professional and polished, I loved the added colors she chose.
If your headshot photoshoot is a little longer, I definitely recommend bringing in a few different outfits.
If your headshot session is shorter, consider bringing a blazer or jacket, or other outerwear to change your look in just a few seconds. Having variety in your headshot photos, gives you more options on where to use them.
The Headshot Experience
I guided her with the posing and we got some amazing photos in just minutes. I try to add as much variety in a short amount of time as possible. I don’t think you need to spend hours to get great headshot photos.
After her photo session, we moved to the client lounge area. She chose her favorite headshot as well as a few extras.
Professional Studio Space
I love the luxury of having a professional photo studio space. I’m especially thankful for the space when it’s super hot in Florida…. which is probably most of the year.
In addition to the studio where we take photos at, there’s a room that’s perfect for relaxing, grabbing a bottle of water or snack, and looking through your photos. This room has comfortable seating where you can choose to view your images at depending on the session you are there for.
Photoshoot Referrals
I also want to thank Wendy for referring me to friends and colleagues. It’s the biggest compliment to have someone share what I do with friends and family.
If you’re in the Orlando or Lake Mary Florida area, I would love to hear from you. If you’re interested in a photoshoot, fill out the contact form below to book your photoshoot.
Review
Wendy was kind enough to leave me a review of her experience with her photoshoot.
It had been 5 years since I updated my headshot on LinkedIn. I had two failed attempts over the past couple of years. When I saw Michelle’s headshot days (10 minutes and 1 headshot) and thought it would be a great way to try someone new. I am so happy I did! Michelle knew how to direct me to get the best shots. I am very happy with the results…she is a pro!
