Whether you’re a high school senior or a college graduate, celebrating this important time in your life can be made extra special by having beautiful photos. Here are some tips to help plan a great senior photoshoot.
Choose Your Location
What kind of look do you want for your senior photos? Do you have a dream location you’re already thinking of? Need help finding a spot for your graduation photos? Want studio photos with a more fashion feel? Want studio photos AND something outside? I’ll help you plan your senior session.
Bring Friends
Did you know that you can book your senior session with a friend? You’ll still get photos of just yourself, but we can also add a few of you and a friend(s) if you like.
Also, having your senior photos taken with a friend can make it more fun and comfortable. If you’re interested in this option, let me know when you contact me about your senior photo shoot.
Bring Outfit Changes
I always recommend bringing an outfit change. If you’re at my studio for senior photos, you’ll have access to a space where you can bring several outfit changes.
If we’re on location, we will plan our best to find a spot where you can change in.
Bring the Family
While the focus is on the graduate, I think it’s a great idea to include family when you have a longer senior photo shoot. I loved that we were able to photograph some photos with her sisters and mom. Family is the best!

Even though our photo shoot was over, we decided to try a new spot. I loved this location. While it was actually pretty dark during that time of day, we were able to get some fun photos.
